NEWS RELEASE

Dear valued customer,
RE: Glit Glomesh Floor Pads and Hand Pads
It is possible that you may have heard rumours regarding the supply of Glomesh floor pads. The rumours suggest that Glomesh floor and hand pad products will cease being available in New Zealand. Those rumours are not true and should be totally disregarded.
Here are the true facts of the situation.
A few years ago, several senior executives of Glit, the manufacturers of Glomesh floor pad material, parted company with Glit. And then, about two years ago they set up, with major support from the largest US supplier of quality pad fibre, a brand new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Of those who left Glit, the former Glit Vice President Production, the former long-standing President of the company as well as the Sales & Marketing Director all joined this new company. Their aim? To manufacture the identical pads to the original pads that had made Glomesh pads so dominant in the market. They knew that if they set those quality standards as their benchmark they would succeed as Glit had succeeded in the past.
We at Glomesh have been involved since the inception of this new manufacturing facility. As you must be aware, top quality standards in floor and hand pads have always been our holy grail and so we set out to establish an association with this new operation. As a result we have been checking and testing the products they are producing over and over to ensure that they are, indeed, the Glomesh pads of old. And they absolutely are.
In consequence we have ordered and already have stock from the new supplier and the new “Glomesh Original” pads will become standard via a running change as we run out of our current Glit stock.
We are most excited about these new improved Glomesh pads – back to the original that everyone has used and valued for so many years.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our office.
Yours sincerely,

However, more modern developments, such as with our new Cyclone Stone FLoor Care Pad line, have led to the diversified use of ceramics in places where they weren't typically used before, namely in high performance stone floor pads.
But it doesn't end there. Pads made using diamond dust technology have the abrasive attached superficially as a separate process from the pad production itself. For this reason the abrasive is not an integral part of the pad. Once the superficially attached layer is worn away the rest of the pad is useless as an abrasive element.
